Daffodils - William Wordsworth

I wander'd lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the Milky Way,
They stretch'd in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed—and gazed—but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:

For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

It had to happen one day, that this poem would make an appearance on my blog. My mom would understand why. I was forced to memorize the entire thing at school when I was something like 13 years old. I'm really glad though.

I have since made my own variations to this poem, combined with poetry from "The Scarlet Pimpernel". My variation had little to do with daffodils, but had a way of proclaiming it in a very Wordsworth-like manner (I think so anyway, even though I have not yet heard any recordings of Wordsworth reading any of his poems).

The only line I've always remembered from this poem is: "For oft, when on my couch I lie In vacant or in pensive mood". I like the pensive moods when these memories of my poetry sessions flash upon my inward eye. The meditation still continues in my life, only to be interrupted by Sonia or Joshua or both, which is the bliss of solitude

"MY heart leaps up when I behold
A rainbow in the sky:
So was it when my life began;
So is it now I am a man;
So be it when I shall grow old,
Or let me die!
The Child is father of the Man;
I could wish my days to be
Bound each to each by natural piety."

Yes - The Child is father of the Man (year old)

Looking forward for a chance to hang out with the man and write ridiculous poetry. We are the same people though and it's good to know that I'll have the opportunity to watch him go through life. I'm so proud of him as I watch him grow.

THAT my heart with pleasure fills...

Dark Porcelain based Data-Delivery

This service proposes to use the standard toilet and sewage lines to provide Internet connectivity at a speed of up to 32 Mbps with a paid plan.

The DPDD subscriber would drop a weighted end of a long, fiber-optic cable in their toilet and flush it. Note: The fiber optic cable that enables DPDD will not interfere with your toilet's regular operations. For your own convenience, however, you may eventually wish to hire a professional contractor to help route the cable under, or through, the toilet seat to your DPBD wireless router. Around 60 minutes later, the end would be recovered and connected to the Internet by a "Plumbing Hardware Dispatcher (PHD)". The user would then connect their end to a wireless router and run the installation media on a Windows XP or Vista computer ("Mac and Linux support coming soon").

For apartment complexes and home-office / small and medium business units, the wireless router would serve as a wireless access point, allowing multiple secured connections to it. Note:An international consortium of utility companies, sewage system experts, toilet manufacturers, and plumbers to develop solutions to the many problems facing all "Dark Porcelain based Data-Delivery" innovators

Alternatively, the DPDD subscriber could request a professional installation service (paid), in which the company would deploy nanobots through the plumbing to complete the process. The free service would be supported by "discreet DNA sequencing" of "personal bodily output" to display online ads that relate to culinary preferences and personal health.

If you're still experiencing any sewage problems, drop eight mints into the bowl and add a two-liter bottle of diet soda and your cable duct is clear. 24-hour, on-site technical support in the event of backup problems, brownouts and data wipes, rest assured that under no circumstances will the DPBD system ever expose your privates.

How to Live Life to the Fullest

Grab hold of each day. Live each day as if it's your last (Please don’t drive as though it’s your last day). Leave the past behind and do not anticipate the future. Be present to enjoy the moment…the little pleasures of life.

Be adventurous. Explore, live on the edge a little and embrace new challenges. Visit new places (it could be the club house of your apartment, the terrace…etc) with your loved ones. Take the road less traveled or at least try to explore one.

Keep a journal. Record your accomplishments (self assessment) as well as your delights. Take time to reflect on what has been previously written. Be an inspiration to yourself and others.

Love yourself. Focus on your inner and outer beauty to see the same in others. Acceptance comes from within.

Love everyone. Love the ones who treat you right. Forget about the ones who don't. Life is too precious to be wasted on waiting for love.

Accept everyone. Be kind and courteous (at least try to be). Enjoy the company of others. Acknowledge their goodness rather than the differences in their beliefs (no catholic – protestant cat fight).

Find purpose in life. Be selfless in service to others. Begin this at your home then your neighbor. Do charitable service, live and help people live.

Be realistic. Set attainable goals (use of appropriate talent management software isn’t all…lol) according to your abilities and talents. Consider each effort to be an attainment. Achieve one step before the other towards stability and security.

Seek balance. Understand the night and day, back and forth, good and bad in all things. Focus on good thoughts and good things will happen.

Maintain control. Be responsible for your actions and inaction. Be true to yourself. Maintain a personal code in the situation at hand (especially when you are on the road). Find common ground.

Listen to your heart and soul. Listen for advice, but be confident in making your own decision. Use your instinct.

Clear your mind. A good message at the beginning of the day, a nice sweet prayer…rejuvenates your soul to focus more clearly on serenity and happiness.

Be carefree. Desires, obsessions and possessions possess you. Free yourself of inhibitions. Make an active decision to have simple daily needs.

Laugh. Laughter is the best medicine. It releases endorphins and promotes longevity. Inner joy is beautiful!

Be flexible. Accept change as a positive thing in life. At times, go with the flow that is before you.

List a few daily goals. Meet a new friend if possible, swim at the pool or walk in the park. Enhance your day and initiate fun!

Appreciate the little things. Take a walk around your community to experience the wonder in a way that you have never experienced it before.

Forgive yourself and others. Release your negative energy that holds you back, your past failures, embrace whatever life offers you.

Anticipate next day. Every day is unique, like the blossoming clouds. It’s never the same, but always beautiful.

Accept death. Pondering death brings appreciation to life. Take time to appreciate the expanse and beauty of your life and our earth. Let go peacefully.
